What Should One Expect In The IELTS Listening Test
Both the general training and the academic training tests in the IELTS Test include about 4 different sections for the students.
2 of these sections are a conversation. One is happening between two different people and it has a backdrop of a particular social situation. The other conversation happens between two to four people altogether. The scenario, in this case, could be training or education-oriented.
The other 2 sections in the tests are monologues. One of it has a particular backdrop of a social situation and the other one has an academic one.

The Difference In The Accents
We all know that IELTS is basically a test that has international levels. So, there is not a single speck of doubt about the fact that the person who is taking the tests needs to be prepared in different accents of the English language. There is the Australian accent, the British accent, New Zealand and the North American accent.

Apart from that, the student who is taking the tests will also be hearing different kinds of voices that are on the background. So, it is really important that the students understand these accents as these are what they are going to be listening to. Also, these accents are the ones that urban people speak and not regional accents. Let us give you an example. The British accent that you will hear in the listening test will be based on the accent spoken in London and not anywhere else.
Also, the accent that is Australian will be the one based on the accent that is spoken in Sydney. So, it is essential that the students are all prepared for that and not expect the regional accents. This can sometimes be a problem so it is advised that the students prepare themselves on these accents rather than anything else.
