What Do Mean By GMAT Exam?

GMAT is the abbreviation of the graduate management admission test. This is one of the important steps for getting admitted to any top business school in the United States of America. This test is done for the purpose of assessing the writing, quantitative, analytical and verbal skills of the participant. The GMAT Exam is a computer-based multiple-choice format exam which is required for the admission in any business graduate programmes (MBA).
This exam is administered and conducted by GMAC for providing B schools the common platform for selecting appropriate students for their graduate programmes. The admission committee takes a look at your GMAT score along with your academic records, job experience for assessing your preparedness for their MBA programme.

Why GMAT is necessary?

The GMAT examination is conducted for measuring your basic skills that are required for the successful completion of any business programme. The aspirant needs to make a detailed plan before starting his or her GMAT preparation based on the assessment section of the examination.  This test would measure your basic command over algebra, multi-source data analysis, basic arithmetic, geometry, and grammar. It would also measure your capability for evaluating and analyzing any written document, your critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. There are many GMAT preparation online courses that focus on providing enough study material to improve in these areas. 

Different GMAT Sections

In GMAT test there are four main sections. In all the sections, the aspirants need to depend on his critical thinking and analytical skill for scoring a good score in these exams. The content of this examination is divided into four sections, where aspirants have to score separately for two sections. For the other two sections, aspirant sitting in the GMAT Singapore will have to score separately but the scores will be combined for a composite score.

The names of the sections are Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative, Analytical Writing Assessment, and Verbal. All aspirants are able to choose the orders of sections they want to follow during the examination. The aspirant would have to first choose the order of the sections of the examination at the exam center. After this step, there will be a computer tutorial before starting your test. There are three combinations that are available in the GMAT Singapore test center. They are as follows:

Before starting your GMAT exam preparation, it is important to understand the section of the examination. Only after understanding the sections of the test, the aspirant will be able to plan his or her whole study plan for cracking this examination. Then aspirant also requires taking lots of mock GMAT test for identifying all the weak points in his or her preparation.
